The Skill Development Center is a Community Integration Training and Employment Support Services day program that supports individuals served by the Tri-Counties Regional Center.

Our facility is an Adult Day Program licensed by the Community Care Licensing Division of the California Department of Social Services. (567609971)

Our Mission

Our mission is to help people overcome their learning, emotional, and physical differences, by teaching them the skills they need to obtain, and maintain, competitive, integrated, and meaningful employment.

Our Vision

Our vision is to maximize the extent to which the individuals we serve are able to direct their own services, by enabling individuals to develop their own Action Plans, and working toward what is important for reaching their goals through the context of what is important to that individual

Ryan Gonzales, J.D.

Job Developer

My name is Ryan, and I’m the Skill Development Center’s Job Developer, and lead IW’s efforts to cultivate community partnerships and create local pathways to employment. I am ACRE-certified in Community Employment with an Emphasis in Customized Employment, and am currently earning my certification as a Person-Centered Thinking Trainer through The Learning Community for Person-Centered Practices.

Before establishing IW in October 2018, I earned my law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where I focused on Public Law and Policy, Community Economic Development, and Disability Rights. Prior to my legal career, I worked as a Certified Administrator and Direct Support Professional for Adult Residential Facilities; and as an Instructor for Adult First Aid & CPR through the American Red Cross, and for non-violent crisis prevention and intervention through Professional Assault Crisis Training.

Currently, my work focuses on increasing inclusion and accessibility in employment, by helping business and community leaders to understand the business advantages of neurodiversity.
